Aaron Carter has been juggling pop music and stage acting for more than a decade, including a stint as JoJo in Seussical on Broadway and his current role as Matt in off-Broadway’s The Fantasticks. The 24-year-old performer is now working on a new pop album, according to the New York Post.
“My goal is to get it out by December, which probably won’t happen because I am being so critical on myself,” said Carter, who recently extended his run at the Snapple Theater Center for the third time, through October 21. “I want the best.” The younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, Aaron began his own recording career at age nine and has already released five albums and an EP. The title for his new release may be The After Party , a reference to his 2000 song "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)" and will include “theme songs,” according to Carter.
The current cast of The Fantasticks also includes John Davidson as Henry, Juliette Trafton as Luisa and Jeremiah James as El Gallo.
